webpage [Jul. 6th, 2007|11:39 am]
I got an email recently. The guy who's done my webhosting for the last several years is getting out of the business. I have until the end of the month to find a new host. Ptththp. He recommends GoDaddy (and the guy who runs the basic web design class at the community center recommends it too), so I guess I will probably use them. I am updating as much as I can myself, but I am a novice and am using FrontPage. There are tons of things I have no clue how to do. I will have to hire a professional to do the rest, I guess. I want it to be secure and be able to use credit cards or other methods in addition to Paypal.

I still want pictures of us and our merchandise for the page, but I don't have the money (which sucks, because I have a friend who is an awesome photographer.)Well, the important thing now is to update it and find a new home for it. I can make it pretty later.

You do realize that I still owe you guys a photo session, right?

Ok, here's my suggestion. I think you should switch to powweb.com and install the new version of WordPress on the site, then run that as your site and update it just like you would do a blog. I know it's possible because people do it all the time. And you don't have to know any html or Front page or anything!

What do you think?

would it still have my web address, or would it be powweb something or other?

(LOL, just what I need, another blog to manage>) :)

It would still have your web address, it just would be hosted at powweb's server. It's easier to manage a wordpress website than it is to manage a whole "normal" website though!
